Financial Basics: Money Concepts for Students
Its no secret that there is a need within minority communities for increased education and competency on financial concepts. By increasing financial literacy among the youth we aim to accomplish two objectives. 1. Increase and raise awareness of the need for minority communities to have access to financial resources and education. 2. Build a foundation in which the youth are able to take this content and make informed decisions that will launch the process of building generational wealth, assist in making decisions that will create ownership and eliminate debt. Throughout this course we will discuss 3 main principles that I have identified as starting points that are both bite sized and will allow actionable steps to be taken after completing. These principles include Budgeting, Investing, and Credit and Debit.
In this online booklet, you will receive lessons on budgeting, credit and debit and an overview of investing for beginners. Included are worksheets on each lesson for students to apply concepts learned.
